Marshall x Gramercy Park Hotel

Legends stand the test of time. For nearly 100 years, Gramercy Park Hotel has stood as a beacon for creative souls and bohemian spirits looking for refuge. Likewise, Marshall has been at the forefront of Rock ’N’ Roll for more than 50 decades, working with some of the same musicians that have called the Gramercy their home. With a history that is intrinsically intertwined, these two legends have come together to collaborate on a special edition speaker that is a testament to  Rock ’N’ Roll. 

The Gramercy Park x Marshall Acton features smooth dark oxblood vinyl inspired by the Julian Schnabel designed interior of the hotel. Despite its small size, the speaker packs a tremendous audio experience that is worthy of the Marshall name. Each GPH x Marshall Acton is marked with a specially designed badge noting the collaboration. Only 200 speakers have been produced and will only be available to guests staying at the hotel.



Hellfest? Hell Yes! 

Marshall Headphones attended one of Europe’s biggest Rock Metal Festival – Hellfest. The annual extreme music festival takes place in Clisson, France and are playing host to all manner of rock genres, from heavy metal and head rock to punk and hardcore. We where there to amp up the volume. We even had a 10th year anniversary edition Marshall Hellfest tee to celebrate the event in style!

iF Design Award winner

Three Zound Industries products launched in 2013 have won the prestigious iF Design Award. The Humlan and Kransen models by Urbanears, along with the Monitor by Marshall Headphones, impressed the high-profile jury, which consisted of experts and designers from all around the world.


Humlan, released by Urbanears in November, is a slim on-ear model that features washable parts. These headphones are designed to defy the consumer electronic stereotype, and are meant to be a natural extension of your wardrobe.

Kransen, launched at the IFA trade show in August 2013, is designed with a few innovative details like the patent-pending CableLoop solution, which allows you to neatly wrap up your cord when you’re not using your headphones, and the SnapConstruction feature.

The Monitor by Marshall Headphones is the first ever over ear headphone by the brand and features a fully collapsible structure, a detachable coil cord, and the F.T.F. System for sound customization.

The awards ceremony takes place on February 28, 2014 in Munich, where the winning entries have a chance to be selected to receive the iF Gold Award, a special recognition of the very best designs. Read more about the iF Design Awards here.
