My friend tipped me off about Zound. He was working here and said I should too. After that I got talking to one of the founders at a tech event and sent in my resume. I didn’t hear anything so I sent a reminder and half an hour later I was on the phone to HR talking about opportunities. Unfortunately there wasn’t anything to suit me then, but a few weeks later I got a call back and I started as sales and logistics coordinator.
In the beginning I was combining studying and working. I got the chance to go to our New York office on an internship and learnt all about the US market. It was invaluable experience. After the six months I came back to Stockholm as Sales Operations manager.
In my role you need a balance of good analytical and communications skills, an eye for detail and be able to build relationships quickly. At Zound you are constantly challenged. You get given assignments that you may not have done before, but you are trusted with the responsibility. It’s challenging but really helps you grow.
